Karen Rose - CEO
Having managed large scale projects for the NHS, Schools and other Charities, Karen has academic qualifications in Psychology (BSc Hons) Project (Prince2) and Program Management (MSP) specializing in behaviour management, community engagement, service improvement and change management. As a representative for the Voluntary sector on the Salford Safeguarding Executive Karen also chairs the Safe Working Practices project for the SSCB, and is a founding member of the Salford Children, Young People and Families 3rd Sector Consortium.
Jo Murray – Team Leader
Jo joined Pro-Contact in September 2010, leading on the community aspect of their work. She holds a BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology and is accredited to deliver Triple P Parenting Interventions as well as having undertaken wide range of professional development in child protection, mental health and project and staff management. Jo’s previous experience includes working within mental health and children and young people’s services as well as advocacy services and the court service.
Hannah Wilson - Social Worker
Hannah has been with Pro-contact since May 2007. She holds a BA Hons Social Work degree from Manchester Metropolitan University. Hannah has previously managed The Sunday Project, an assisted contact centre for children and parents and managed Manchester Council's commissioned early intervention project, Parents Forever, working with Manchester families in the community.
Karen Sayers – Mediator/Case Worker
With experience of working with Victim Support specialising in supporting children and their families, Karen has a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and holds a dual role as both a qualified mediator and experienced case worker.
Sammia Ahmad — Case Worker
Sammia holds a BA (Hons) degree in Social Policy from the University of Salford and a PGCE in Primary Teaching with Qualified Teaching Status from the University of Cumbria. As part of her continuing professional development, she has also undertaken additional training in areas such as the Every Child Matters initiative and in Child Protection. Sammia’s previous experience includes teaching Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils in Nursery and School settings. She has also been a mentor to pupils in secondary school and has worked as a regular volunteer at holiday play schemes.
Mariella Vittetoe – Family Mental Health Practitioner
Mariella has a BSc in Psychology (Hons.) and an MSc in Family Psychotherapy Interventions. She is a registered member of the British Psychological Society (Counselling Division). Mariella has previously worker as a Family Therapist with families and individuals suffering from a wide range of mental health problems, and as a university lecturer in the field of Psychology, teaching counselling and therapeutic interventions.
Manda Thompson – Child Mental Health Practitioner
Manda has a BA (Hons) in Psychology and a PGDiploma in Art Psychotherapy. She has extensive experience of working within the high school and primary environments, with particular expertise in bereavement; supporting children and young people through loss. Manda is also trained in Triple P Parenting, and is a visiting lecturer on the MA Art Psychotherapy course at a local university. She has been with Pro-Contact since March 2007.
Jo Whalley – Administrator
Joanne holds a Post Graduate Degree for the Institute of Personnel and Development. With additional training in Counselling and NEBSM Supervisory and Management. She held various secretarial posts before her career in Human Resources. Joanne worked for her last employer for 17 years and came to Pro-Contact in October 2006.
Caroline Lam – Financial Administrator
Caroline has over 15 years administration experience. She holds a BA (Hons) Degree in Modern Languages and spent 7 years working as an Export Administrator. Caroline joined Pro-Contact in January 2006 and has undertaken training in Sage and financial management.
